I've read it!

I know what happens in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I know who the HBP is.

And all I can say is - well . . . .

I don't have time to read it right now..so, go ahead! Tell all!

I have been sworn to secrecy, she said primly.

No, seriously - should you want any information I'll e-mail it - but I wouldn't like to spoil anyone's party by putting up spoilers!

(But who would have thought that Uncle Vernon would have turned out to *****)*

*I'm just pretending.

LOL! Well, I did go buy it, so if I manage to get my next chapter done today, I will indulge myself by reading. :D

Your next chapter is definitely far more important.

Yes, Nilmandra, you write first!

But I am sooo jealous. The mailman hasn't brought my copy yet and I leave in a few hours to be locked up in training for a week. I have to wait to read it. I'll go mad next week.

What kind of training is this, Elliska? Are we talking court-ordered or something? :-)

LOL! That might be more fun. No, it's technical training. I go to this once a year and we usually work from 8am to 8pm. And there is a test at the end of it that we are required to pass--i.e. I can't pretend to pay attention while I am really daydreaming about fanfiction or HP. So...

I went off to buy it at 6 am. I couldn't bear to have to wait for the mail to arrive. It'd be guaranteed not to come until mid-afternoon.

All those vans. All weighed down with tons of HPs. All those mailmen with bags straining on the straps, sueing for industrial injury.

If it comes in time, you could take it and then sit up until you finish it - it's necessary so you can concentrate by Monday. And that must be some seriously painful training if they have to get you inside and lock the doors.

I almost went out and bought a copy for myself sooner than the poor mailman could get it here. Problem is, I leave in only a few hours and I can't finish it in time. And I know I'll read it rather than concentrate on my training. I will go mad though. I am dying to know what happens and I know my husband will call me and say, "oh it was soo good." Arg!

8am to 8pm? That leave 12 whole hours when you're not being tortured . . sorry, trained. Spare - oh, say 8 for tedious stuff like eating and sleeping and talking to people and that still gives you 4 whole hours each night!

You could manage it in 3 nights max!

I got it at Sam's Club this morning, along with a new digital camera (woot!) Sam's Club prices on books are really good...I picked up several, as usual.

Chapter done; if neither daw or karri fall asleep reading it, it might see the light of day, as it appears the website transfer went well today.

I couldn't believe how cheap it was on the shelf - £7.97 on a cover price of £16.99! I bought one for the Aftercomer who is an HP fan and it was still less than one full price copy.

Digital camera - sounds good. I'm surrounded by people who own them, so it seems silly getting one for me, but it would be nice!

Fall asleep? Now how likely is that?

I'm done! Only just as I had to work this morning. Next time I'll remember to take the day off...

Far too many thoughts to organise! I'm still reeling a bit. And I don't know what to do with myself now :-)

You can talk to Bodkin about this because she read it too.

But you might have to wake her up.

Yes, I'll just fetch my incredibly long stick and poke her...!! Of course, she'll be up and full of the joys of life at some ungodly hour while I'm peacefully snoozing away ;-)

Too true. 6.45 am on a Sunday morning and here I am, reading your words of wisdom.

I've long since decided that my husband and I are getting increasingly like those weather clocks - whenever the old man is out the old woman is not and vice versa. He could happily sleep until lunch time and stay up until two, whereas I fade out by ten and am up around five.

Mind you, it was useful when the offspring were babies.

I'm an early riser too. It's 5:45 here. And Nilmandra knows I disappear around 9. It's embarrassing.

Early morning, particularly this time of year, is so beautiful. The light, the temperature, the silence.

Mine will be a long time in coming, I fear. My mom is usually my Harry Potter supplier, and I'll be going to visit them in August for my cousin's wedding. And (so goeth Pony family logic) why bother mailing a book when the recipient will be coming to visit in a month and can carry it back to Grad School Town herself?
